ÖAMTC Upgrades Breakdown Vehicles with Beetronics Touchscreen Control Systems

ÖAMTC, a leading provider of roadside assistance and mobility services, has equipped its breakdown vehicles with a centralized in-vehicle control interface powered by a 10-inch Beetronics touchscreen. The deployment transforms each vehicle into a connected workspace designed to support reliable, real-time roadside operations.
In breakdown scenarios, fast access to accurate information and seamless coordination are critical. Inside each vehicle, the Beetronics touchscreen serves as the primary human–machine interface between the technician, the vehicle, and dispatch systems. It consolidates mission data, communication tools, vehicle status, and GPS positioning into a single interface, reducing system complexity and improving usability during time-sensitive interventions.
Following evaluation for in-vehicle use, ÖAMTC selected the Beetronics 10TS7 automotive touchscreen. Designed for mobile environments, the display supports stable operation under vibration, temperature fluctuations, and continuous daily use. Its compact form factor enables seamless integration into vehicle interiors while maintaining consistent responsiveness.
The touchscreen supports a wide 9–36V input range, allowing integration across both 12V and 24V vehicle systems. This simplifies deployment across diverse fleets and reduces electrical complexity. Flexible mounting options further support installation across different vehicle layouts.
A centralized interface also enhances operational efficiency. With all relevant information accessible in one place, technicians can assess situations more quickly and act with greater precision. Dispatch centers benefit from real-time visibility into vehicle status and location, improving coordination and response times.
