OSHAWA, ON, Jan. 23, 2026 /CNW/ - Driven by the largest and most diverse electric vehicle portfolio in Canada, General Motors was the country's electric vehicle (EV) sales leader in 2025, spanning 13 models across Chevrolet¹, Cadillac² and GMC¹ that span value, luxury and truck segments.
In 2025, GM captured 21.2 per cent of Canada's EV market, with over 25,000 total EV registrations1, reinforcing the company's leadership as Canadians are choosing electric vehicles.
The Chevrolet Equinox EV was the second most registered electric vehicle in Canada in 2025, helping Chevrolet capture 13.3 per cent of the national EV market.1 In the luxury segment, Cadillac led all competitors with 32.1 per cent share of Canada's luxury EV market, making it the top seller of luxury EVs in the country2. Cadillac also claimed the top two registered luxury EV models nationwide with the Cadillac OPTIQ EV & Cadillac LYRIQ EV 2.

"We're Canada's EV market leader, and in 2025 we also led the overall industry for the third year in a row, capturing 15.5 per cent market share with nearly 300,000 vehicles sold.
